 SEARCH BEGINS FOR THE NEXT BIG BUSINESS IDEA WITH ‘PITCHFEST’

Glinda Girls Inc. Launch “Are You the Next Glinda Girl?” Pitchfest boasting a $30,000 Business Booster Prize Package
(Calgary, Canada, June 4, 2009) Glinda Girls Inc., a Calgary-based event producer and e-boutique of beauty and lifestyle brands, has kicked off its search for the next big business idea with the “Are You the Next Glinda Girl?” Pitchfest. The winner will walk away with a $30,000 Business Booster Prize Package to help the budding entrepreneur.
“We are looking for five finalists to present their big business ideas at The Business of Bliss event taking place on October 5, 2009, at the TELUS Convention Centre,” said Kari Dunlop, founder of Glinda Girls™. “All ideas are welcome – whether you’re a business owner, an artist, a nanny, a philanthropist or even the next Oprah. We’re looking for the next big idea to inspire the world.”
Twenty semi-finalists will be selected on August 5, 2009. Those 20 semi-finalists will then be required to provide a business plan, marketing plan, financing scenario and product samples by August 17, 2009. From there, five finalists will be selected on September 15, 2009, to present their big ideas on October 5, 2009, in front of a panel of judges who “walk the talk” of the Glinda Girl. Judges include:
• Anastasia Soare, beauty expert to the stars and creator of Anastasia Beverly Hills (www.anastasia.net). Her products can be found at all Sephora, and soon to be launching at The Bay retail locations. As seen in O, The Oprah Magazine, InStyle and Us Weekly magazines, her list of loyal clients includes Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez and Faith Hill to name a few!
• Maureen Kelly, creator of the popular cosmetics line tarte™ (www.tarte.com) that proves glamour can be good for you with natural ingredients. Famous fans include Rachel Bilson, Carrie Underwood and Denise Richards; Maureen’s best-selling products have graced magazines such as O, The Oprah Magazine, People, Vogue and Glamour.
• Danielle LaPorte, the outspoken voice behind www.WhiteHotTruth.com gives one-on-one tough love and ROI advice to women entrepreneurs on a weekly basis and writes daily about self-realization.
